Scholarship Privacy Policy
California Contractors Insurance Services (CCIS) is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of the
students that apply for the Future Contractors Scholarship. This policy will cover the information that is
collected by students and what the information will be used for.
CCIS does not share or sell any of the students provided personal information to anyone outside the
organization. The students will maintain full rights and ownership of their work. No changes will be
made to the submitted essays. The company does share the winning student’s name, photo, and essay
on the website blog, which is also shared via social media. Other private information that is provided,
such as email, phone number, etc., will not be made public. The email address and phone number will
only be used to contact the student directly regarding the scholarship if he/she needs to submit
anything further or is the scholarship winner. CCIS uses encryption to maintain protections over their
internal systems and prevent unauthorized access.
CCIS only collects information that is willingly given by the student. Although the company does utilize
Google Analytics, that information is non-personal and only used in order to better service the
customers based on website traffic and content. Many browsers will allow the visitor to accept or deny
cookies that provide this information.
California Contractors Insurance Services will issue a reward letter and check to pay out the recipient of
the scholarship.
