The Future Contractors Scholarship launched last year, which encourages students to consider a degree and career in construction. CCIS selected the eight scholarship finalists, but this was the first time a poll was used to select the winner. The public got to choose whose essay was their favorite. The voting was open for two weeks, with Tanner Duron being selected as the winner of the $750 award.
